People and companies that prey on Seniors are the *** of the earth
NO, it is a scam.
They scammed my mom out of $3000. Trying to get my money back.
She's 82 and fell for it. She called back to cancel and the said they couldn't give her any money back because they already cashed the check? UGH.
How rude to prey on old people. I have been calling all day and they only let me leave a message.

Payment of $495
Need the address to your travel group located in Lodi, Ca. I invested $495
Attempted to scam me out of 595.00 dollars
Received a call from this representative from ALG about a package that l won on November 25, 2018 discussing the content of the package. I was informed that the package of $5000 was free, however, l would need to pay the taxes of 595.00 by only giving him my check number and bank name.
I told him that I needed to know something about your company. He insisted that I talk to his supervisor.
However, doing this time l was reviewing his company on my computer stating that this company is a scam. Immediately told the representative not to call my phone again or I will calling the police.
Something Sounds MightyFishy
I just received a call from American Legion Group ((941) 251-*****), saying I had responded to a mailing; which I did not. She went on to say she knew I didn't have the portion I was to keep because most people don't.
Mind you never responded to this named company. Now she tells me all the stuff I will be receiving in the package, including $2,000 to use immediately anyway I wanted, of hotel, cruise, etc. Then she said for ID purposed I needed to get my check book and void a check, give her the account#, routing # and check #. I told her that is too much info to give her IF I will be getting a package FREE, and refused to give her that info, letting her know I can write down any confirmation info she gives, that she had my name and phone# which should be sufficient.
She said without that info she would have to give the package to someone else.
I told her to go right ahead and hung up.
When I called that number back, got no answer or voice mail. This number is from the Port Florida area.

There is nothing for free, but your information, that they will take from you..

Take care...............
Its a ***
You did not win anything. It will cost you almost $600 for nothing.
Holiday adventures travel is a joke. You will end up paying full price for the trip and travel on there time schedule not yours. The $2000 worth of free stuff is coupons that you have to pay for.and probably will never use. They go after the elderly and have them write a check But void it out thinking it wont be used .
It does get cashed as soon as you give them your account number . They should be in Jail They are preying on the elderly. If you get a call that you won something from a contest you never entered, Then just hag up.
Since I retired I get at least two a day that or call from a truck driver that he needs me to pay to deliver my gift or I won publishers clearing house sweepstakes . All *** men and women Just hang up

7-31-17 Call from 218-296-****
Received call asking for my 83 yo mother who has been in the hospital for the past 7 months. "I need to talk to _______ _______." When I explained she was not available, she started stuttering and then I asked what the call was in regard to and she said "Her American Leisure form." I know that no such form has been filled out or submitted in the last 7 months and non one answers when I call the number back.
So annoying. So annoying. So annoying. So annoying.

Scams abound
Caller wanted to congratulate me on winning a contest then requested checking account information to ensure the winning package was delivered to my address. This was supposedly for two tickets for a hotel and a Caribbean cruise to be valid for anytime in the next five years.
Really - these are such blatant scams it's ridiculous. The minutes I advised that I would not be giving checking account information, they wished me a good day and hung up.
My caller ID did not identify the name of the caller by showed it was out of Killeen, TX - 254-577-****. I have blocked this caller and suggest that something needs to be done to stop this company from trying to take advantage of people who may not know enough to not provide their information to random callers.
Thank you American Leisure group
Your lines are always busy so I would just post it here. I admit you do need to speak clearer English but all in all, they were very friendly and they gave me their website and phone number to check them out.
They called me back after a week and they transferred me to their supervisor who was indeed very friendly. He gave me flexible payment plans which is great and I can say the offer is cheap for the cruises and hotel stays. At first, I thought it was a scam but check out their website and call their number. It's best if they call you since their supervisor can give you payment options unlike the website that you have to register for $595 upfront.I truly enjoyed the trip. I just wish pets are allowed on the cruise tough, just saying...
But thank you. I had a great time.Keep it up!Don't mind Bashers. You have helped me a lot in budgeting (Thats the best part)
Scammed my 85 year old mom in assisted living
American Leisure Group called my 85 year old mother and used "ALG" as the lead in.. mom thought it was the American Legion Group.
They persuaded her to give them her checking account and routing number for automatic drafts on her checking account. I called their CA number. I get an answering machine that says they are open "9:30 to 4:30 Pacific time. " this is a boiler room operation.
I am trying to get my bank to freeze her account, but she has several needed auto drafts and deposits in to this account.
Do not let this happen to your unsuspecting parents. These are scam artists.
Call from 623-748-****
I won $5k travel package would arrive in 2-3 weeks, plus $2,000 shopping voucher to use right now, need only voided check for confirmation; give check no. Much later in conversation, asked what bank check is on, then transferred to "certified confirmation officer" who kindly requests the 9 numbers on the lower left hand corner of the check (the bank routing numbers).
This is where I balked and he said there were taxes and fees that needed to be recovered in the amount of 10% of the package and he would be taking "only" that amount.
Told him on limited income and he offered to break it into 2 transfers. Calls like this is why I had all my in-laws mail, etc transferred to my address to protect against these scams.

Arrogant phone representative from American Leisure, an unfamiliar company calling from: (949)527-****
American Leisure phone rep verified it was indeed me on the phone & continued to speak about a package that they're sending to me. I tried my very best to interject.
But, it may have even been a recorded message; which continued to say "sometime ago, or 5 months ago...you ordered some" which to my best recollection I am NOT aware of. Anyway, the phone rep./recorded message conveyed that I'll be receiving a package within 2-3 days & the phone call was disconnected. I looked up their name on this website & realized that this is another SCAM/nuisance phone call interrupting me from my paperwork which I was carefully attending to. So, I phoned them to say that I am unable to receive any packages due to priorities which I will have to attend to; please remove me from your data base & DON'T send me any packages which will eventually have to be taken to post office for return.
Furthermore, they're inconveniencing a disabled senior with mobility issues. This company has had over 40 Bad reviews also. I want others in similar situation to be aware of this company & its unknown product/literature which someone inadvertantly may open & be further inconvenienced or charged. I am not sure whether this phone call from (949) 527-**** IS A LEGITIMATE Company.
I phoned them back from cell phone & landline & no one answers. The recording says "1234" prompting people to leave messages. Be careful folks when you're getting ready to open any package. Check their name on the internet.
If anyone should receive letters which you're not familiar with, please return it to sender. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION AS THE WORLD IS IN A DESPERATE MODE TO STEAL.

American Leisure Group Cruise Review from Longview, Texas

American Leisure Staff Review from Mountain View, California
Stephanie (who is angry, irritable, discontent, disconnected, nasty, disrespectful, and just plain old miserable) works for American leisure - yes she's an employee, not an owner !
"Miss Happy" (Stephanie) is the Manager of the health and fitness center and leisure club at "The Bay Club" - a luxury apartment building with 1,037 apartment unitsin Bayside, Queens, NY. Inclusive in the gym are treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, weight machines, stationary bicycles and many other exercise machines and eqipment. The club also has a full size lap swimming pool, paddle ball court, basketbal court, billards room, card room, TV room, library, nursury/childrens play room, sitting rooms, a full service restaurant, a large deck/patio area for sun bathing/relaxing and special events like speakers/parties/mixers, etc.
With residents paying $754 for an annual membership, you would think that the manager (Stephanie) has at the very least a raw basic minimal level of people/communication/"be nice" skills. You'd think ! But Stephanie doesn't. She has none of those skills and/or she choses to use none of them ! The residents overwhelmingly proclaim how rude, short, dismissive, ill tempered, condescending, abrasive, and "itchy" (with a CAPITAL "B" before the " i") this short fused, explosive, self detonating stick of dynamite.
It's amazing Stephanie still has employment with either American Pool or The Bay Club or how she can still manage to show up for a job she despises so much !
